It causes face muscles to droop or become weak. On one or both sides of the face, facial paralysis can occur. Infection or inflammation of the facial nerve, head trauma, or stroke are the most common causes of facial paralysis. In facial paralysis, a thorough massage is very important since it helps to remove the droop on the face as well as speed up healing. Because paralysis creates a decrease of blood circulation in the affected location, conducting a massage can help to restore that circulation. Coconut oil or any other moisturising lotion can be used by the patient. It should be mentioned that the massage should be performed on both sides of the face, and that while conducting the massage, split the face into three parts: the head, the nose, and the chin and lips. 1. Massage the upper part of the eyebrows, which is the forehead, in an outward direction with both hands. 2. Do the same thing below your eyes. 3. Now massage your area horizontally to your nose in the similar direction. 4. Massage the same area horizontal to your lips in the same direction. 5. Massage your chin in the same manner. 6. Place your thumb in the center of your neck and slowly stretch it outwards. 7. Gently massage the afflicted area in a downward motion. 8. Gently massage the end of your collarbone while applying some pressure. Note: 1. Massage your forehead and cheeks for 2 minutes and 3 minutes, respectively. 2.
