Hutch Makeover // Building a Custom Base // Trash to Treasure // Furniture Flipping

In this video we take the top of a hutch that was headed for the curb and give it an extreme makeover by adding a custom red oak base. We used Dixie Belle’s Silk All-In-One Mineral Paint in Anchor, a beautiful black, and we finished the base with Dixie Belle’s Big Mama’s Butta. The majority of our time was spent prepping this piece, sanding through all the layers of latex paint until we got a smooth surface. We picked up this piece for free but materials and all cost us around $150.
