We take a walk on the wild side and head out to see Blackpool at night and have a walk along the promenade and seafront to show you just how great the illuminations are this year! In this video we head along the promenade from Central Pier to North Pier, walking past Coral Island, the new Spyglass Bar underneath the new five star hotel, and along past all the amusement arcades, shops selling burgers, drinks, rock and fudge and the hotels and guesthouses that are all open and taking bookings for people wanting to see Blackpool Illuminations 2021. I filmed this walking tour in November and it was dark but relatively warm for the time of year and thought it would be fun to see the Blackpool lights but I honestly was not expecting the absolutely incredible and amazing Blackpool Tower light show. WOW - it's just amazing!! Blackpool Illuminations are described as the greatest free light show on earth and having seen the lights along the seafront you have to agree - they're incredible This year, The Blackpool Tower Projections will run between 3 September and 3 January, and will once again transform the iconic Tower building into a sea of light, colour and sound. From festive-filled stories to sci-fi projections that will catapult you to another world, these free-to-watch, digitally-mapped shows are a mesmerising treat for the eyes. Look out for the exclusive projection shows during the Lightpool Festival as the charming discovery of Moon Folk unfolds and watch up close as the Tower is brought to life in the magical Tower Light Show. NEW Astral Dreams Projection Location: Comedy Carpet Astral Dreams is a stunning laser-mapped show, transforming The Blackpool Tower into a sea of light, sound and colour with five high-powered lasers that will beam on to the historic frontage. The mesmerising projection has been created by Blackpool-born international designer Jack Irving, who is best known for creating wildly theatrical outfits for Lady Gaga. Local producer, George Cornes, has also composed a musical accompaniment to support the impressive laser show.
