The famous G318 from Lhasa to Linzhi is the route every Chinese motorcyclist dreams of, and riding it on our BMW R1300 GSA feels unreal. The fall colours are starting, the mountains are huge, and the meadows and rivers follow us the whole way. Eastern Tibet is a treasure for riders. Smooth tarmac, long lines of perfect corners, and scenery that looks like a painting. These really are perfect roads, and yes, they are made in China. Our route takes us out of Lhasa and across sweeping valleys toward Linzhi at a lower altitude of around 3300 m. It is a long riding day and one of the most beautiful of our entire world ride.
