This famous aria can be interpreted differently depending upon the perspective chosen. "O mio babbino caro" is from the comedic opera Gianni Schicchi, by Giacomo Puccini. This is my debut concert in Suk Hall at the historic Rudolfinum on the Vlatva River in Prague. In this aria, Lauretta shares her love story and begs her father to allow her to marry the man she loves.
