🏔️ June 9 | Day 2 of Our Hampta Pass Trek Adventure! After spending a peaceful night at Chika Campsite (10,100 ft), we started our trek towards Balu Ka Ghera (11,900 ft), one of the most scenic campsites on the entire Hampta Pass route. This day had everything a trekker could ask for – lush green valleys, sheep grazing in the meadows, glacial rivers, thrilling river crossings, stunning mountain views, sudden weather changes, a hailstorm, and finally snow-covered landscapes near Balu Ka Ghera. We covered approximately 8 km while gaining significant altitude and experienced how quickly weather can change in the Himalayas. 📍 Route: Chika ➝ Balu Ka Ghera 🥾 Distance: ~8 km ⛰️ Altitude Gain: 10,100 ft ➝ 11,900 ft 🌡️ Temperature: 5°C – 12°C (felt much colder during hailstorm) 📅 Trek Date: 9 June 2026 💡 Trekking Tip: Pack as light as possible!
