La caisse claire du bagad

The Scottish drum, what exactly is it? If you're a drummer, you've probably never heard of it. And that wouldn't be surprising, since it's a snare drum used in brass bands. So, why should you know about this instrument? First, historically, as you know, our instruments come from brass bands, and I think it's interesting to see how they evolve outside of the drum kit. It will certainly change our perspective in terms of sound and design. Besides, our ties to brass bands haven't weakened; we still share quite a few techniques, including the famous rudiments. Anyway, let's take a little trip to Brittany to see what's what. Thanks to the interviewees: Ronan Le Guellec "Louldrum" Kenan and Tangi Sicard Jean-Pierre Meneghin Thanks to Bagad Cap Caval!
