South Sudan's Commissioner General of Revenue Authority (SSRA), Amb.Moun Deng Visit to Nimule Border

The Commissioner General of the South Sudan Revenue Authority (SSRA), Ambassador Moun Deng Ajuet, and his accompanying delegation have returned to Juba following a successful two-day official visit to the Nimule Border. During the visit, the Commissioner General met with SSRA officers and stakeholders, inspected customs operations, and assessed revenue collection activities at the country's busiest entry point. He also engaged officials on measures to strengthen revenue mobilization, improve service delivery, and enhance border management. Amb. Moun commended customs officers for their commitment to duty and urged them to redouble their efforts in boosting non-oil revenue collection, emphasizing its critical role in supporting South Sudan's economy. He also reaffirmed the Authority's commitment to implementing government directives, including ending tax exemptions for subcontractors and strengthening compliance across the revenue system. The visit forms part of the Commissioner General's ongoing efforts to monitor operations in the field, engage frontline staff, and advance reforms aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and domestic revenue collection across the country.
