THE HOUGHTON WEAVERS. ROOM IN THE SKY

I wrote this song as a reflection of the demolition of the old streets and the people who lived in them, many of them most of their lives. It is in no way connected to or represents any political party or group.The opening picture is of Chalk St in Newton Heath where I was born and I am pretty sure the lady on the left is my dear old mam.Most of the other pics are of Newton Heath but there are a couple at the end of the video of the Earl St area of Longsight where my wife Wynn spent her childhood days.The last picture of the high rise flats represents where many of us ended up.
