Economy or ecology? Why not both? | Scott Ludlam | TEDxPerth

On a finite planet, sustainability is inevitable. Scott Ludlam lays out a vision for a sustainable society - and explains why we must mature in our approach to business, product design and resource usage by embracing closed-loop systems. Scott is a former Australian Greens Senator representing Western Australia from 2008 to 2017. He was the Greens national spokesperson for cities, communications, nuclear issues, foreign affairs and defence. Prior to his time in Parliament he was an artist, graphic designer, anti-nuclear campaigner and political adviser. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
