Their lives are awe-inspiring and there’s much we can learn from them for our own life’s journey. John Hartman was one of the drummers for The Doobie Brothers. His death was officially announced by the other members in September 2022 though he had actually died in December 2021 when he was 71. Another drummer, Michael Hossack died in March 2012 at the age of 65. Known as “Big Mike” to his fellow bandmates he struggled a lot until he made it to The Doobie Brothers. He was lauded as one of their best drummers and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Keith Knudsen was a drummer, vocalist, and songwriter for The Doobie Brothers and many other bands. He sadly passed away rather young at the age of 56 in 2005. The same goes for Norton Buffalo, Cornelius Bumpus, and Bobby LaKind. They were all talented artists who sadly left us too soon. But we have so much to learn about their incredible lives and careers and how they can inspire you to follow your dreams.
