Ham Radio Satellites: How do I get started and what gear do I need?

Today I wanted to take the opportunity to speak about one of the aspects of the hobby I really enjoy, satellites. When I first got into the hobby working satellites seemed like something that was out of reach and something I wouldn't be able to accomplish. This could not have been further from the truth. I hope that this video will shed some light on amateur satellites and may get some new hams interested in this aspect of the hobby. **************************************** Please consider supporting the channel by using the amazon links below the description to check out some of my gear and visit my Patreon page.   / bobplank   **************************************** A sample of the gear I use in this video: Kenwood TH-D72 https://amzn.to/2HbCAnx 6 ft bnc coax https://amzn.to/2vjug2e Logitech Headset https://amzn.to/39kPMSM Sony Digital voice recorder https://amzn.to/2Hf5QtA ****************************************   / bobplank   http://kk4div.com **************************************** Music credits: Autumn Sunset by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...)
