A Working Class God of Creation | Myth of Pangu

Pangu and how he created the world according to Chinese mythology. This video is for anyone that's interested in Chinese history and mythology from primary source materials. The story first appeared in literary text from the Three Kingdoms (220 - 280CE) period. The original story was compiled by Xu Zheng (徐整), who lived in the 3rd century and served as a senior minister of the Kingdom of Wu, a Chinese state in southeastern China. Earlier iterations of the mythology may have appeared as oral folktales in both Han Chinese and ethnic minority communities, such as the Miao, Yao and Zhuang peoples of southwestern China.
