John Bennett Early Keyboards - POSITIVE
These are a highly portable organ based on Baroque prototypes. Being foot pumped, it is not dependent on an electrical power source and is therefore totally portable. As the player is responsible for both the winding and the touch he has complete control of the music. In order to reduce weight and minimize the chances of damage, all the pipework is made of maple. Although the organ is at 4' pitch, it can be quite useful as a continuo instrument, especially if played down an octave or when combined with 'cello or viol d'gamba. It is also available as a 4' and 2' is a slightly larger case. This organ is fun for home and ensemble work. It has been produced with a painted finish but can also be done in a bright wood finish. The pipe shade is cut, painted trompe l'oeil. The stand comes apart for easy travel.
