Tailgate-style party commemorates Bob Uecker mural in Milwaukee

"Mr. Baseball" is being memorialized with a Milwaukee mural. The 80-by-100-foot art piece depicts Bob Uecker behind the microphone, calling a Milwaukee Brewers game, as he did for 54 years. The mural's official unveiling is set for Tuesday. Members of the Uecker family, Brewers representatives and Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson are all set to be in attendance. Artist Mauricio Ramirez is set to sign his work. The mural is located on the north façade of the Wintrust Financial Center. The mural has been in progress since May. It was commissioned by the ownership group of the Wintrust Financial Center, with support from The Westin Milwaukee, We Energies Foundation, Milwaukee Downtown, BID no. 21 and Visit Milwaukee. Uecker died last year at age 90.
