FIRST Time OVERNIGHT BackPacking | Camping in Kachemak Bay State Park | Alaska Road Trip

Across the Kachemak Bay from Homer, Alaska lies the remote, bear country of the Kachemak Bay State Park. With the only access to the Alaska’s first state park, Kachemak Bay State Park, being via water taxi we decided to not only take a trip to the state park but to do our first ever overnight backpacking trip there. Come join us as we set up camp in Kachemak Bay State Park in Homer, Alaska and see many piles of bear skat, reminding us that we are not on our own there. This is our dogs first backpacking trip and Grayson’s first time ever sleeping in a tent. We would like to think we did a decent job getting all set up though we didn’t sleep the best.
