We got a gentle kiss of much needed rain, helping keep the fields from going barren. Fluffy Puffy is still suffering from a skin problem without sign of improvement. We've been struggling against deer and ground hogs damaging the garden. The apples are getting ripe, but will likely get raided, as the tomatoes have been so far. We got our first zucchini in over 40 years [because it has been that long since we planted any]. I melted some wax to use as waterproofing for my stairs. I chemically stripped and repainted a rusted pulley to help resist future rust. I successfully installed a new coil and got spark, but now need to find the right screws to put the motor back together. I am still waiting for replacement bearings to put the mower back together. Yellow coneflowers and black-eyed susans are on the decline, but sunflowers are still going strong. I forgot to show the Rose of Sharon which is finally coming into full bloom.
