Lev Plays Manhã de Carnaval (Black Orpheus) – Acoustic Guitar Cover

Here's my version of "Manhã de Carnaval" (Morning of Carnival), arranged and performed on acoustic guitar(Gypsyesque style Bossa). One of the most recognisable songs/melodies in jazz. Written by Luiz Bonfá, it became the main theme for the 1959 film Black Orpheus. The Oscar-winning movie adapts the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice to a Rio de Janeiro favela during Carnival. In the film, Orpheus plays the guitar, and the locals believe his music literally makes the sun rise. This iconic soundtrack triggered the global Bossa Nova movement of the 1960s with its haunting, melancholic melody.
