In 2022, enterprising blogger Kane Parsons decided to adapt "Backrooms" into a web series—and he was right. Just a few years later, the legendary studio A24 took the promising author and intriguing concept under its wing, bringing in the dazzling Chewitel Ejiofor and Renata Reinswe to work on the project, and enlisting the help of one of the creators of the series "Westworld" to write the script. The production was also overseen by James Wan, the director of "The Conjuring" and "Saw," Shawn Levy, and Osgood Perkins, the director of "The Soultaker." This entire team, it seems, is currently producing the most successful horror film of the year!
