Make sure you buy organic rice, preferably, as it can contain many pesticides and cause some kind of allergy. Important Notes: 1. I'm allergic to rice—haha, it's ironic, I know—but I can use the fermented water without any problem. But if you want to do an allergy test, go ahead. 3. The fermented water will have a very peculiar sour smell. If it doesn't smell good, let it sit longer or cover it. 4. Once the water is fermented, store it in the refrigerator. It will last approximately 7 days. If it has an unpleasant odor, discard it and make a new batch. 5. To make it last longer, you can place the water in ice cube trays and freeze it. From there, thaw as needed. You can also use ice; it feels delicious and helps with bags under your eyes.
