This video is about building and modifying a PIC frequency counter and crystal tester in kit form sold on the internet under many names, for example "1Hz-50MHz Digital LED DIY Kits Crystal Oscillator Frequency Counter Tester" Part 1 describes how to modify the unused crystal testing part of the circuit into a pre-amplifier for the frequency input.
