The chain‑detonations collapsed the southern face of Menach Mountain, triggering an avalanche that buried the facility and sealed all approach routes under thousands of tons of debris. The destruction has stalled Covenant ground forces and slowed their push into the Elvegard corridor. Dr. Catherine Halsey and the surviving members of Red Team are now entombed in the cave networks beneath the former facility. After completing Operation: WHITE GLOVE - purging all AI constructs and triggering the base’s self‑destruct - they withdrew into deeper Forerunner‑adjacent tunnels to prevent Covenant access to the slipspace‑distorting crystal below. The collapse has cut off all egress, leaving them isolated but temporarily out of Covenant reach. To the east, Manassas City is under direct siege. A Covenant SDV‑class heavy corvette is holding low‑orbit overwatch across the bay from Oteran, directing infantry landings, air‑skimmer patrols, and precision plasma strikes into the nearby area. Evacuation efforts in the city have collapsed, trapping thousands. With Covenant pressure rising along the coastline, Havok Company has been ordered to redeploy to Oteran to support evacuation efforts. Local militia and UNSC Army units are holding the perimeter, but Covenant probes are already pushing into the outer districts from the hills and roads to the south. Once Oteran is evacuated, Havok Company will assist UNSC Army forces in mounting a counter‑offensive against the SDV corvette by launching an airburst EMP warhead, with the hope of relieving pressure on the civilians still trapped within Manassas City.
