Katingan Police Chief, AKBP Dodik Hartono, confirmed on Monday (July 6, 2026) that his team has arrested a total of three suspects. They are identified as R, S, and N, who were arrested at different locations. However, Dodik did not elaborate on the roles of each suspect or their involvement in the incident that killed three police officers. Investigators are currently questioning the three suspects in depth. The Police Chief promised to provide further details regarding updates on the case. As previously reported, a raid on a methamphetamine dealer in Tumbang Kelemei Village ended in chaos on Thursday (July 2, 2026). Officers faced resistance from residents and the family of the suspected methamphetamine dealer. As a result, First Inspector Yudhie Perdana Putra died after suffering a slash wound to the head. Meanwhile, two other officers, First Inspector Sumariyanto and First Brigadier Nopandri Ramadhana, were declared missing. Both were reported to have jumped into the river to escape the violent mob action. Tragically, First Inspector Sumariyanto and First Brigadier Nopandri were found dead after a search operation. First Brigadier Nopandri was found in the Katingan River Basin on Saturday (July 4, 2026), while First Inspector Sumariyanto was found the following day. During the search for the victims, police also arrested two suspected perpetrators. One suspected perpetrator, S alias A, was arrested on a gold-sucking float in the Tumbang Pariyei Village area, Central Katingan District, on Friday (July 3, 2026).
