Dalhousie Springs | Oodnadatta | Mt Dare | Simpson Desert | Dinosaurs, Bulldust & Flies | Episode 13

Oodnatta Track, well, northern end at least (c'mon, the rest off the track follows in further episodes). A few weather obstacles intervene and stop our orderly trek to Dalhousie. We add quite a few kms on to our trip because we can only get into Dalhousie just south of Mount Dare station. It is (was) what it is (was). We probably would not have got to Mount Dare and really it was just a stop over albeit interesting in its' own right. A go back too destination for sure. Ooodnatta, yeh, no, not an over night stopover unless it is that time of night. Don't get me wrong, the Pink Road House was terrific, friendly etc etc. Didn't manage any uploads of content there internet just not with it. Dalhousie, surely any least a 2 night stop over unless you are transitting from Birdsville. I reckon we were pretty lucky having the place just about to ourselves. A few mozzies, for sure, but no way near enough to drive us out. Huge campground and reasonable facilities at Dalhousie.. On site camp host (did not meet them) and rangers station not too far away either.. Couple of easy walks well worth the time. We did a quick trip out to the Simpson and that of itself was worth the time to. If nothing else only because we got the picture. Next vid we just about complete the Oodnadatta track (dirt highway). kennym
