Riding the Cat Train to the Cat Temple for New Year Blessings!

I took the Cat Train to Gotokuji Temple, famously known as the Cat Temple, for my New Year's first visit to the temple! Gotokuji is a delightful temple to explore. It's also recognized as the birthplace of the Manekineko (beckoning cats)! The operating hours of the Cat Train are updated daily on the website and displayed at the station. If you happen to have a little extra time before the cat train arrives, I recommend checking out the Carrot Tower in Sangenjaya! It offers a fantastic view, and the best part is, it's free! While you're in the area, consider stopping by Mahorodo Sougetsu, a Japanese confectionery shop located on the way from Miyanosaka station to Gotokuji station.
