Conservation Station - Rainfall Simulator Demonstration
Matt Helmers, Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at Iowa State University, demonstrates the relationships between land management practices, surface runoff, subsurface drainage, and sediment/nutrient transport with the Conservation Station's Rainfall Simulator. The Conservation Station travels throughout Iowa to farmer field days, county fairs, farmers' markets, schools, outdoor classrooms, and community events educating Iowans about the importance and connectedness of our soil and water resources.
