F/A-18A Hornet aerial handling display - 2020 Superloop Adelaide 500

As part of the Australian Defence Force’s support to the 2020 Superloop Adelaide 500, Air Force F/A-18A/B Classic Hornet pilot Flight Lieutenant Kyle conducted two spectacular aerial handling displays and a flypast above the race circuit, showcasing the aircraft’s impressive capabilities. The displays included high speed runs at up to 900km/h, low passes and a demonstration of the aircraft’s maximum turn performance – all while Flight Lieutenant Kyle experienced forces up to 7G. The F/A-18A/B Classic Hornet can reach a top speed of 2,200km/h and can defend from air, ground and sea attacks with precision guided weapons using a range of advanced, integrated systems.
