BMW Navigation to per-condition battery and using Waze for alerts

This video shows the BMW Navigation to pre-condition the battery for DCFC. It was 95° Fahrenheit, and my I4 M50 heat soaked all morning and into the early afternoon. Once I selected the Shell Recharge 180kW charger 150 miles away. My i4 M50 started to pre-condition the battery, also being over 2 ½ hours away. Trying to use manual per-conditioning I would be guessing. I see most comments on the forums that 30 minutes would be enough. In my case I needed 2 ½ hours to pre-condition the battery. I have also seen Kyle Conner of Out of Spec only uses EV navigation to pre-condition the battery. While I had the BMW Navigation running. I also had Waze running not in navigation mode, but I was able to set alerts and receive alerts with the interactive feature of Waze.
