IT'S ALL OVER - VAN LIFE IN EUROPE COMES TO AN END

Our amazing camper van road trip through France, Spain and Portugal comes to an end. Van life in Europe has been a dream, and after many adventures in Daisy the camper van, to paradise beaches, historic cities, awe-inspiring deserts, mountain villages and epic hiking trails, we feel this really has been the trip of a lifetime. We feel so grateful and lucky to have been able to do this - but also glad we took a leap of faith and made the change in our lives in order to make this happen. Whatever the future may throw up. Europe - thank you, you did not disappoint! #vanlife #roadtrip #travel In this video, we leave Porto and head to the absolute gem that is Bragança in north east Portugal. Here we stay on a free aire at the base of a pretty and well preserved medieval castle. This is one town you should put on your map, as the combination of the aire at the castle and the attractive old town made it well worth staying for a day or two. We also thought it was a lot cheaper than most of Portugal's tourist spots, and so we treated ourselves to lunch in an Italian restaurant called Rosina - the seafood lasagne was pretty amazing in there. We then make our way back through Spain and France, stopping at various aires and moving north. I (Dan) visit a family member I hadn't seen in years, and then we have one final sightseeing stopover planned - at the unbelievably picturesque Honfleur. Shout out to Jo ‪@menopausalmotorhomer‬ for showing this place in one of her vlogs as that's what prompted us to stop here! Cheers Jo! In Honfleur we stay on an aire - it costs 12 euros a night (or 14, I can't remember which) but some spots do have hook-up. There are tons of spaces, although that said, they can fill up fast. Honfleur is stunning, but be prepared to face the crowds as it's one of France's most visited towns apparently! (which, naturally, means prices here are elevated to say the least, so be aware of that too!). But to walk around and admire the harbour and the timber buildings, you can't go wrong.
