Jin: Society's Chaos Is a Bigger Issue Than Violence in Hip Hop
http://www.vladtv.com - In this clip from his exclusive interview with VladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes, Jin shared his thoughts on some of the more serious issues regarding the current violence that occurs throughout the United States as a whole. Jin began by addressing the violent content in Hip Hop and whether or not he believes that rappers utilize more senseless lyrical content than before. Jin doesn't necessarily think that violent content exists more prominently in Hip Hop today as opposed to years prior; however, he does believe that the presence of social media presents more of a focus on the violent lyrics than ever before. Jin believes that the overall violence in society is much more alarming than violent content rapped about in Hip Hop music. Jin also shared his thoughts on the ongoing turbulence within Ferguson. While he applauds the many protesters coming together seeking justice for Mike Brown, he acknowledged that nobody is feeling the true pain from his killing more than his family. Jin also encouraged everyone to come together in order to prevent tragedies from happening in general, rather than wait until someone is tragically killed in order to fight for what it right.
