Gili T to Nusa Penida travel guide, 3 days - A shock at the beach cliff…. 😳🇮🇩

Nusa Penida, home of turquoise waters, magnificent coves and lots of hills! We spent 3 days exploring the island and what it has to offer. Day 1, we arrived later in the afternoon after a long and misleading trip from Gili T... We were then greeted by a host of taxi drivers trying to over charge for taxi fare and port taxes. BE WARNED! Once we agreed to suitable price for our taxi ride, we made it to our accommodation which was situated at the top of Nusa Penida, giving us the most amazing views over the island. After collecting our scooter, we got refreshed and headed out for sunset on Crystal Bay Beach. This really was one of the most beautiful sunset's we have seen. We ate dinner on the beach and then headed back for some well needed rest. Day 2, Kelingking Beach. This is a must see while in Penida but be warned, its an extreme climb down to the beach and certainly not for everyone, including us. We attempted the climb down and halfway we decided would not take the risk being the only people there and we climbed back up and take in all of its beauty from the view points. While at the view point, using the drone we saw a squadron of Manta Ray!! AMAZING. Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong were next on our list. A trip around the West Coast of the island which took around 30 minutes we arrived at our destination. WOW! The beauty of mother nature and what crashing waves can create in the cliff sides is a must see. Amazing view points and some good little lunch spots located around the walk. We stopped off for a quick lunch which was very well priced with a view over the cliff side looking into the turquoise water. In the evening we went to explore the local town near to where we were staying and tried our first MARTABAK MANIS! If you have a sweet tooth, this is for you. Indonesian version of sweet thick pancakes with toppings and fillings our your choice. We went for chocolate and milk. It’s soft but fluffy. And it has a little bit elastically chewiness that makes the pancake is just moreish with all those luscious fillings. Day 3, We started our day with breakfast overlooking the mountains before heading to Pura Goa Giri Putri Temple. I can say this was one of the most magnificent temples we have seen. You enter via a small passage in the mountain side and there you are greeted by the inside of the cave which is now a temple dedicated to Shiva. We were so lucky to be greeted by locals who took us in and asked to watch their ceremony. And that was it, our time in Nusa Penida came to an end and we got a fast boat to Nusa Lembongan! See you next time. Emeline and Dean
