ICE Battery Redux - Chiller Freezing 330 Gallon Tote

Glycol chiller + Pex cassette = ICE battery. Follow along as I build my first large scale version of an ice battery. I also go into a few of the calculations, I realize I'm not the best at explaining and don't have the best visuals. Feel free to knock me in the comments and I can share some of the numbers with you. After this test I feel confident this is feasible to offset how many chemical batteries I'll need for going off-grid. Here in the great state of Texas our cooling load will be over half our energy consumption with much of that being during the day when the sun is beating down. That's a good thing for when I go mostly solar but for now I want to do a baby step of purchasing a free nights and weekends plan, building up ice overnight, and using it to cool the house during the day. Should be able to shift a good 30-40% of my daily load into the night time hours this way without having to touch any chemical batteries.
