Hive Inspections (6/24/26)

Checking the hives 11 days since the last inspections. On the afternoon of the 17th, I went out to replace the feeder jars and found that hive A had only consumed about half of both jars while hive B had consumed less than a cup of both jars. I replaced both jars on both hives with fresh 1:1 sugar water with the additives that I mix in. While inspecting hive A, there was a near accident as my neighbors' dog, who I didn't even know was running loose, decided to come into the bee yard to see e, backing out before I knew he was even there when he apparently sensed the bees in front of him. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt, and after this incident, I'll be notifying my neighbors when I'm about to work my hives so they can make sure he stays in their yard. After finishing the inspections, I noticed that a dead worker bee was being moved out of hive A, showing how bees keep their hives clean.
