Welcome to my June #Scrappy8 Challenge project, Trashure Hunt! ♻️✨ This month's challenge was all about turning everyday "trash" into creative treasures, and I had so much fun digging through my stash of discarded materials to create something unique for my junk journal. For this project, I used: 📬 -Used #10 envelopes into vintage-style dangles 💎 -Glossy Accents for added dimension and shine 🔩 -Brads and jump rings to create movable embellishments 📜 -Stamps and distressed papers for a vintage look (Graphic45 - Hampton Art City Scapes) -Tim Holtz fired brick embossing glaze 🖼️ -A die-cut negative into a decorative frame 🛍️ -Recycled Dollar Tree packaging plastic for the window element 📦 -Chipboard salvaged from product packaging for sturdy backing I love finding new ways to repurpose materials that would normally end up in the trash. It's amazing how a little creativity can turn discarded items into beautiful embellishments for junk journals, mixed media projects, and handmade books.
