The surrender is held annually at the Babcock House, a period perfect house four miles from the McLean House, and a house which was there, at the time, and unlike the PRESENT DAY McLean house, would have been the actual house had they been four miles THE OTHER WAY when this happened.... in other words, it would have been EXACTLY where we filmed it... THIS IS THE ACTUAL DOCUMENT which had a first showing in Bedford, Virginia several years ago, and was filmed at that time. A YouTube-mandated ten minute abridgement of a film made in 2007 at the Babcock House, four miles from the McLean House. The occasion was an event held at the Babcock House, and Confederate Pictures was privileged to record the rehearsal prior to the event. Dave Palmer stars as General Robert E. Lee and Tony Daniels is General Ulysses S. Grant.
