I am trying to think more rhythmically, maintain an idea and sustain it to the cadence. Break out of just playing 8th notes. A rhythmic grouping in 9. Harmonic ideas/Licks are great.. but don't forget rhythmic ones also. ASCENDING phrases work best I feel to build solos. Always GO UP ;) I did both (which sounds okay) but always make the highest note the last one. We will talk about sustaining that intensity once we reach the climax later... but lets just get there first. It's SO exciting to throw the time around.. and FINALLY...
