San Diego highways special report July 1969
July 1969 script: There are nearly 12 hundred miles of state highways in San Diego, Imperial and eastern half of Riverside counties. A third of that mileage is freeways—321 miles in use and another 65 miles under construction. There are 100 million dollars worth of highway projects in the area underway in the area covered by District 11. In this four-part series of special reports, TV 8 newsman Jonathan Dunn-Rankin looks at highway projects under construction and planned for the future. This is an amazing piece of San Diego history and an exciting addition to the News 8 Throwback collection.
