Tanner's Story: From Fear and Aggression to Hope and Healing

Tanner came into our lives as an 8-week-old rescue puppy—a Belgian Malinois and Yellow Labrador mix who was terrified of the world around him. Ceiling fans, doorbells, car rides, strangers, and even other dogs filled him with fear. As he grew older, that fear eventually turned into aggression, leaving our family heartbroken and unsure of what the future would hold. Just when it felt like we had run out of options, we found Leonard at Dominant Dogs. What happened next changed Tanner's life—and ours. This video is a tribute to Tanner's incredible journey from fear and uncertainty to confidence, trust, and happiness. More importantly, it's a reminder that some dogs aren't "bad dogs." They simply need understanding, structure, patience, and the right guidance. Tanner taught us more about love, resilience, and perseverance than we could have imagined. His memory continues to inspire us every day. In memory of Tanner, it was a privilege to experience his wisdom and the guidance he shared with me.
