Chelsea shore break Risks

Training video on the risks of the CYC shorebreak and coming in on a run. This is NOT how to approach the beach in adverse weather This is a shortened version of the original for use in the club training courses For context: This video is from some time ago and there is now a centreboard retention mechanism! Whilst it looks nice on video; wind was SW @15-18kts and I was heading to the beach in a roughly ENE direction Waves were 1 to 1.5 metres with a decent surge behind them. Wave heights don't translate well onto video, but my Sabre is about 1.5m wide. I went over just before the 2nd sandbar where the waves were breaking. As I recovered from the dazing effect of the boom strike and squared the boat in, you can see a wave drive me into the sandbar with the centreboard down
