New Bosch 1617 Router | Unboxing EVSPK Fixed & Plunge Combo

New tool! A router has been on my list for a while and I was finally able to get Bosch’s 1617 EVSPK Combo kit which comes with both the fixed base and plunge base. The reasons I chose this router kit are as follows: 1. The combination of the fixed and plunge router bases allows me to permanently mount the fixed base into the router table I purchased at the same time 2. This kit is intended to quickly swap between either the plunge or fixed base and the mechanism they have for it works great! 3. The fixed router base has a “top side” adjustment for quick vertical adjustments when mounted to a router table 4. The spindle base has all of the modern circuitry you’d expect in a new router (Slow start, power adjust, etc.) 5. Bosch routers have an excellent reputation for longevity and quality This video is a quick tour of the router and why I chose them.
