The Fiber Fairy Takes Flight | A New Series Begins | Seaside Alpacas West Cork Ireland

Introducing a new series at Seaside Alpacas — The Fiber Fairy. Our resident fiber fairy Anastasia has a very special gift. She can sense when shearing day is happening — even from miles away. And when she does, there's nothing that can stop her getting to the fleeces. In this episode, Anastasia takes flight from her spinning wheel at Seaside Alpacas and heads across the West Cork coastline to our friends at Fairy Fort Farm — a magical place where alpacas, sheep, horses and cattle roam together, and where half our own herd was born. It's shearing day, and there are fleeces to skirt. Meanwhile, back at the farm, a mysterious message arrives about some blue barrels — and a very important job to do before the fleeces can come home. This is where the wool begins its journey — from the sheep's back and the alpaca's coat, all the way to Anastasia's spinning wheel and eventually to the finished knitwear you'll find at Seaside Alpacas.
