Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shah (RTA) (1853 -1961) Full History & Biography

Syed Muhammad Ahmad Shah (Arabic: سید محمّد احمد شاہ) was a Sufi saint, teacher, scholar, mystic and educationist. He was born in 1853 in Sirikot Shitalu Shareef. He was a Sufi saint of the Qadiriyya school and caliph of Abdul Rehman Chor. (FAMILY) Shah belonged to a religious family who endorsed education. His father was Syed Sudoor Shah, a well-known mystic and scholar. He belonged to the Mashwanis clan of Sayyids; who live in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and speak Pashto. He was the descendent of Ja'far al-Sadiq. Mashwani is said to be the son of Gesudaraz I, and Syed Muhammad Ahmed Shah's family tree reaches to Mashwani, son of Gesudaraz I, in 26 chains. He was the father of Syed Muhammad Tayyab Shah and grand father of Pir Sabir Shah. ( EDUCATION & LECTURES ) He was an educationist who promoted education to all. He was Hafiz of Quran at just 14 years of age. He worked in the fields of Quran, Fiqh, Hadith, Sufism and other Islamic literature. He acquired knowledge from Delhi, India and Africa. Shah worked on Islamic research and literature. He was the first to educate millions of Muslims in the Chittagong area of Bangladesh, where his teachings are still followed. He added Salawat in one part of his book which is easily available in Pakistan and Bangladesh. ( IN BANGLADESH ) He visited Bangladesh following the instructions he received from his teacher, Abdur Rehman Choharvi, in 1937. Millions of people have embraced Islam from his work. He established a Sunni school named "Jamiyah Ahmdiyah Suniyah Aliya" for teaching Islam. (DEATH) He died on 11th Zee'qad 1380 AH (1961) in Sirikot Shitalu Sfareef. His shrine is located in Shitalu Shareef Sirikot. Thousands of people visit the site each year.
