This Might Be the World's Dirtiest Carpet The GPS read Columbia, Illinois—a location I've traveled to countless times. This trip felt different though. Instead of taking the exit I normally use, it had me getting off on one I'd never taken before. I made a mental note of it but didn't think much of it. Then it turned me onto a two-lane road. The road just kept going... deeper and deeper into the countryside. Eventually I pulled up to what looked like a farmhouse surrounded by corn stalks. I walked inside, and a sea of urine stains looked me dead in the eyes and gave me the head nod—just like Bro Man from Martin. I was honestly surprised the house didn't reek of urine. With that much contamination, I expected the smell to be overwhelming. The funny thing is, a carpet like this would normally have me fussing and cussing. This time? I was coolin'. I thought to myself, "Finally... a dirty carpet." I've been trying to publish a new Carpet Vision video every week, and lately I've had long stretches where every job has been so... blah. Nothing terrible. Nothing spectacular. Just cleanings that don't really tell much of a story. This one had a story. I vacuumed with the new Sanitaire I just picked up. I don't know exactly what it is, but it definitely feels a little different than the last one. It has the clear plastic collection bin, which is nice because you can see everything it's pulling up, but it also feels just a tad too small. I carried it outside to dump the bin and immediately got munched on by some persistent bugs. I went nuke level with the prespray. I filled the pump sprayer to the brim and started laying it down with the flow turned all the way up. Before long I realized I wasn't going to make it through the whole house at that pace, so I backed it off a little and made sure I had enough solution to finish the application. After giving it some dwell time, I put the CRB to work for a good while, making sure the prespray was thoroughly worked into those fibers. Then it was time to extract. One pass after another, the recovery tank kept filling with years of neglect. Before I knew it, the job was finished. I loaded everything back into the van and rode like the wind to the next job.
