2023 Lexus RX 350h, 450h+, 500h - Which Hybrid is Best For You? (ENG) - Test Drive and Review

Lexus RX is credited with starting the luxury crossover trend. In production since the late 1990s this SUV started life in Japan as the Toyota Harrier. Lexus needed a model between the LX off-roader, and the LS luxury sedan. The RX proved to be a hit, and soon other carmakers started launching competing models. In its fifth generation the Lexus RX comes as a 350h (a regular hybrid with a 2.5L engine), 450h+ (a plug-in hybrid), and 500h (a hybrid with a turbocharged 2.4L engine, and a 6-speed automatic instead of the usual e-CVT). In some markets there is also a Lexus RX 350 (non-hybrid, but with the turbocharged 2.4L engine). The fifth gen Lexus RX is almost the same size, as the fourth gen model. The only significant difference is 6 cm longer wheelbase, as well as wider track - 1.5 cm in the front, and 5 cm in the rear.
