Phil's Cookie Fondo 2024 - The Chocolate Chip!

I'm from Los Angeles, ride bikes and somehow I've never done this fondo. After careful consideration I decided on the Chocolate Chip - 83 miles with 8,500' of elevation. You know a climb is going to be uncomfortable when Phil calls it terrible. Well... he said that about two of these climbs. Excited and equally terrified I thought well I'm already here, I'm not backing out now. Phil wasn't exaggerating about the climbing but it was well worth the effort. It truly was an amazing day out on the bike. Rest stops in all the right places, larger than life views and epic descents. Like I mentioned before, I'm from LA. These roads are my backyard so it was always going to be very hard to impress me. This fondo exceeded my expectations. Phil has done a really great job putting this event together.
