Split Rock Lighthouse - Painting and Travel
Split Rock Lighthouse - Two Harbors, Minnesota The lighthouse keeper takes Sarah on a tour telling her about its history and demonstrating the unique clock work mechanism of the Fresnel lens. Roger sketches on location and then back in his studio uses acrylics to paint on an 18×24″ canvas. First he blocks in the large patterns creating a good foundation on which to lay in the details of the lighthouse and flowers.
