That may not seem like enough time, but we were able to drive the entire scenic byway, venture off-road to see its expansive prairie, hike two incredible trails (Notch Trail and Door Trail), see a paleontologist work on ancient fossils at the visitor center, and take a day trip to the nearby tourist destinations of Wall Drug and the Minuteman Missile Site.
