Japan Cycling Trip Playlist (35 Episodes)    • 日本一周自転車旅［東日本編］   Episode 23 of the Japan Cycling Trip features a voyage aboard the Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen Co., Ltd. ferry Silver Princess from Tomakomai Port in Hokkaido to Hachinohe Port in Aomori Prefecture. We arrived at Tomakomai West Port around 6:30 PM. It was already pitch black. After completing boarding procedures at the ferry terminal, we headed to the dock. There were several boats lined up, including one bound for Hachinohe, Sendai, Nagoya, and Oarai. Motorcycles and bicycles boarded first, followed by cars and trucks. Our guest room was a "Second-Class Sleeper A," the cheapest of the private rooms. Since there was still plenty of time before departure, we headed to the "Observation Bathroom." Soaking in the bathtub while looking out at the ocean was simply amazing. After cooling off on deck from the hot bath, I headed straight to bed to prepare for the next day. I woke up just before 4:00 AM, but managed to sleep for around six hours. The rocking and noise of the ship barely bothered me, and I slept comfortably. After disembarking, I went to a park and bridge near Hachinohe Port, watched the sunrise, and finally began my journey south across Honshu.
