09.06.2021: History of Ruins As Banasar Fort: Banasar Fort Trek was my first ever trek which was self-organized by my few friends. This fort is in the dense pine forest on a hilltop for a long time. The strong big walls of this fort believed to be built by Army Chief Amar Singh Thapa to counter the mighty power of British, have now started to show the sign of collapse. When I visited this place, I saw so many bonfire ashes. I think people go for a hike there and do camping at this spot. It is one of the best places to visit in Solan for camping lovers. In fact, the whole place is now gradually inching towards the day of its vanishing from the scene. Banasar Fort is located in Shogi village near Parwanoo in HImachal Pradesh, India. It is on a hill top near the famous resort of Timber Trail Heights. Fort can be accessed from many routes. The shortest one is via Bhojnagar Parwanoo road which takes you very near the fort.
