2018 Honda CB1000R Neo | First Ride Review

The Honda CB1000R Neo is beautiful, steadfast and charismatic. It's something of a home run from Honda. Mechanically speaking the CB range is synonymous with reliability and mile munching so you know it will last you. Of all manufacturers Honda seam to focus on fit and finish so I have no doubt that it will look just as good in years to come provided you take care of it. And I have to say it's nice to see them make a bold choice on styling, especially as it seams to have paid off in a big way. Generally this bike has been accepted across the board as a pretty machine, and the fact that they didn't just jump on the retro band wagon means that it has managed to cultivate some buzz as well. As for the character of the bike in a nut shell it's your typical four cylinder with a short gearing ratio. It performs well at high revs and is nimble enough to flick round some twisty country roads. My biggest floor comes in the form of a flighty front end and buzzy feedback through the bars and pegs. All things considered though it is a cracking bike (as it always has been) with a fresh cosmetic makeover, buy one.
